Overview

On January 29th, 2024, our engineers were alerted to delays in metadata edits and uploads being reflected in search. They quickly identified the issue and it was resolved soon after.

Root Cause

An extremely large amount of work was generated within a couple of minutes, causing delays for other work.

What We're Doing?

We're investigating ways to reduce the impact of these spikes on other work.
